March is great time to visit Snowshoe. Sunshine-splashed days are perfect for enjoying the excellent spring-skiing conditions. Snowshoe routinely has the most snow in the region, and with long term forecasts predicting plenty of cold weather in February, Snowshoe’s expert snowmaking crews are sure to have the mountain covered in the white stuff! Throughout the season, Snowshoe has had the region’s most open terrain, and is now skiing on 45 trails—that’s 75% of the mountain’s slopes. Early snowmaking, in addition to 49” of natural snow has allowed the resort to maintain a two foot base on its open terrain.

In addition to the phenomenal conditions, March is filled with events that will keep you entertained long after the slopes have closed. The Homegrown Music Festival brings the best of region sounds, including country, bluegrass and southern rock; the Shades of Cream Chocolate and Champagne weekend will be a delicious and luxurious way for the whole family to spend the Easter Holiday; and St. Patrick’s Day will be a festive day of Irish fun for everyone!
