We’re continuing to feature ski resort weather forecasts in differing order…so here we go through the region!

Wisp Resort in Maryland is expecting 1-3” of snow today and temps in the 20s and dropping into the 20s tonight.  That will make for great ski conditions on Thursday and Friday as well.  Thursday and Friday will be sunny with temps in the upper 40s for highs. Lows will be near freezing.  Saturday is still looking like a 50% chance of rain and temps approaching 50°. Lows overnight Saturday may allow for snowmaking at 30°.  Sunday, Monday and Tuesday look sunny and with near normal temps – highs near 40° and lows around 28° each night.

Ober Gatlinburg is looking at a dusting of snow this morning and turning sunny later. Expect highs today around 40° and snowmaking lows tonight at 25°. Looks like Thursday and Friday will be pretty days with temps in the 50s and lows in the 30s.  There’s a 60% chance of rain on Saturday and the Sunday looks mild and sunny again.  Highs near 50° and lows around freezing.

We’ll travel to Nellysford, Virginia (home of Wintergreen) next.  They are looking at temps in the mid 40s today and then sunny and mild Thursday and Friday with temps approaching 60° both days.  Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s. There’s a 40% chance of rain on Saturday as temps stay in the upper 50s.  Sunday through Tuesday look sunny and highs in the low 50s.

Davis, West Virginia which is home to Timberline Resort and Canaan Valley is looking at 1-3” of snow today and then sunny skies Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid to upper 40s and lows near freezing. Saturday presents a 50% chance of rain and Sunday-Tuesday should be sunny with highs in the upper 30s to near 40° and lows near 29° each night.

Snowshoe Mountain will probably get more than the 1-2” that the NWS is calling for out of today’s storm.  Highs today will be in the 20s.  Thursday and Friday will be nice and sunny with highs in the 40s and lows just below freezing.  There is a 60% chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday through Tuesday look sunny with highs in the upper 30s and lows around 28.
