Skiers forecast for the Weekend is a Wild and Woolly One!

The Weather Forecast across the Southeast is pretty varied!  Check out the forecast for the Featured Ski Resorts Below:

Beginning with Wisp Resort in Maryland :  They are in for a wild ride in temperatures.  The National Weather Service is reporting that it is in the 50s there as of this report and today the highs will be in the mid 50s.  Tomorrow’s high will be 18° and the low will 3°.  That is about a 54° swing in the next 30 hours or so.  AMAZING!  Saturday, Sunday and Monday look partly cloudy and cold with highs in the teens Saturday, mid 20s on Sunday and upper 20s on Monday.

Pretty much DITTO the forecast above for Timberline and Canaan Valley Resorts in West Virginia .

Snowshoe Mountain : Meteorologist Jeff Haniewich says that Snowshoe will get a bit of light rain, but nothing to worry about today and then some light snow on Saturday. 10-20mph winds will be the norm today through Saturday and temps will nosedive from today into Saturday.  Saturday will be gusty winds and cold with highs in the teens and lows near ZERO.  Sunday and Monday should be sunny and cold with highs in the 20s and lows in the teens.

Wintergreen Resort: When we get to Wintergreen things REALLY get interesting! There’s a small chance of light rain today, better chance of snow Saturday, Sunny on Sunday and an even better shot of snow on Monday and Tuesday.  Stick around Wintergreen this weekend and you may see some of everything!  The highs on Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be in the 30s and the lows in the teens and 20s.

Kicking down to Tennessee and Western North Carolina , here’s the details:

Today expect light “under-developed snow” (rain) and a high at about what we have early AM (40-45°). Temps will drop tonight to near 25° and snow develops.

Saturday look for snow and highs near 28° and overnight lows should be near 18°.

Sunday looks variably cloudy with some sun and snow and a cold high of 28°.  Sunday night more snow develops with a low holding at 27°.

President’s Day Monday will also be snowy with a high around freezing and Monday night’s low should be near 27°.

Tuesday continues to provide a chance of snow.
