HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. Snow chances are at 90% for Wednesday with temperatures warming into the upper 20’s. New snow piling up between 4 to 8 inches. A 30% chance of snow showers for Wednesday night with decreasing clouds late and lows in the lower teens. Sunshine moves in for Thursday with lows in the middle 20’s.

SNOWSHOE…. A good chance of snow Wednesday (90%) with a high around 25 degrees and 4 to 6 inches of new accumulation. By Wednesday night, and additional half inch of snow is possible for the evening (30%) and lows in the middle teens. Sunshine is back for Thursday with highs warming into the lower 30’s.

WINTERGREEN…. Wednesday will be mild and wet with a 70% rain chance and highs near 40 degrees. Rain showers may change to light snow before ending Wednesday night with a low around 22 degrees. Sunshine returns Thursday with temperatures warming into the upper 40’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. A bit breezy on Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and a southwest wind gusting as high as 30 mph to punch the mercury into the lower 60’s. Skies are partly cloudy Wednesday night with temperatures in the lower 30’s. More sunshine for Thursday with highs in the lower 60’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Wednesday for the High Country will be partly sunny and a little warmer with highs in the upper 40’s and lower 50’s. Winds will be back…. gusting at times to around 30 mph. More clouds move in for Wednesday night with a 20% chance of rain showers and temperatures falling into the lower 30’s. Sunshine is back for Thursday with afternoon temperatures warming into the lower 50’s.
