HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. Snow showers (30%) today with a high around 30 degrees with a dusting to a half inch accumulation. Lingering snow showers for tonight with a low in the upper teens. Tuesday and Wednesday offer another 30% chance of light snow with a high around 27 degrees.

SNOWSHOE…. Starting the week with freezing drizzle and snow showers (30%) with temperatures in the upper 30’s. A chance to pick up a couple of inches of snow tonight (60%) with temperatures in the deep freeze, around 12 degrees. Morning snow showers linger into Tuesday (60%) with highs in the middle 20’s and wind chills in the single digits.

WINTERGREEN…. Today will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the middle 30’s to start the week. Skies overnight will be partly cloudy with lows in the middle 20’s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower 40’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. An isolated rain shower for today with highs in the upper 40’s. Scattered sprinkles may change over to snow flurries tonight with lows in the upper 20’s. Light snow showers linger into Tuesday morning, with mostly cloudy skies otherwise and a high temperature around 40 degrees.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Starting out the week with an isolated rain shower (20%) early this morning, otherwise a mix of clouds and sun with temperatures in the middle 40’s. Clouds thicken up again for the evening with light snow and lows in the low and middle 20’s. Little to no accumulation is expected for this event. Look for morning flurries on Tuesday with highs in the upper 30’s. Yet another system will swing out of the great lakes and bring more clouds and a rain/snow mix by Wednesday with temperatures in the middle 30’s.
