Wolf Laurel will open the new Ski Lodge and Resort at the top of the mountain (and the new lift) this weekend…and they have a Grand Opening Planned! Wolf Laurel Ski Resort and Scenic Wolf Mountain Resort will host a GRAND OPENING for the new Ski Lodge and Resort at the top of the mountain on Saturday, February 19th, at 11:30 AM. Congressman Charles Taylor, Richard Lutovsky, President/CEO of the Asheville Chamber, and other commissioners and dignitaries will join them to "cut the ribbon" on a new beginning for one of North Carolina’s top ski slopes. The addition of the new lodge gives the ski resort plenty of room to grow. There is ample parking, a new bunny slope with a 2-chair lift, complete rental and food services and a unique atmosphere in the beautifully designed, rustic lodge. The view from the top is unmatched – one of the most beautiful, long-range views in the Blue Ridge Mountain range.
Rick Bussey, the developer for Scenic Wolf Mountain Resort, is building a year-round family resort at the top, surrounding the new lodge with more than 22 cabins under contruction this year. There are plans for a pool, tennis courts and other amenities making Scenic Wolf Mountain Resort a destination for families looking for a fun, relaxing vacation in the mountains.
