HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. Cloudy and cold with snow showers tonight (50%) and a low around 5 degrees. An inch of snow accumulation is possible with wind chills around -15 at times. A 40% snow chance for Thursday with temperatures in the middle teens. Up to an inch of snow accumulation is possible, with wind chills around -20 degrees. Snow showers continue Thursday night and Friday (40%) with lows around zero and a high around 13. A bit warmer Saturday with another round of snow showers and temperatures in the middle 20’s.

SNOWSHOE…. More light snow showers (40%) tonight, with another inch accumulation possible. Get this — an overnight low around – 3 degrees… with wind chills around – 15 degrees. Thursday will bring a 50% chance of lingering snow showers with a high around 14 degrees. Snow showers continue Thursday night and Friday (40%) with lows around zero and a high in the lower teens. A bit warmer Saturday with another round of snow showers and temperatures in the middle 20’s.

WINTERGREEN…. Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly clear tonight with a low round 15 degrees. Both Thursday and Friday will be sunny with highs in the upper 20’s. Lows at night will dip into the low teens with clear skies. Sunshine holds over into Saturday with slightly warmer daytime temperatures in the upper 20’s.

OBER GATLINBURG….. Skies are partly to mostly cloudy tonight with lows in the middle teens. Afternoon temperatures are back into the middle 30’s on Thursday and Friday with partly cloudy skies. Lows will fall into the middle teens both nights with partly cloudy skies. A 40% chance of an early snow shower Saturday, with rain showers for the afternoon as temperatures warm into the upper 30’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Still windy tonight with a few lingering clouds and a snow shower or two, with possible accumulations up to an inch. Lows fall into the middle teens with gusty west winds as high as 50 mph. Cooler with some sunshine moving back in for Thursday. Highs will only make it into the middle 20’s, with lows Thursday night in the single digits. Friday will end the week with sunshine and temperatures in the lower 20’s. Another weather system will start off the week with a 30% chance of rain or snow showers and highs in the low 30’s.
