The Christmas outlook… from here it’s looking cool and wet for Christmas Eve, with a chance of at least some light snow up North for Christmas Day (YAHOO!!!)
For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN… Dry and cooler today with highs in the middle 30’s. Clear skies tonight with lower 20’s. Not much warmer tomorrow with sunshine and highs near 40 degrees. Afternoon rain showers move in for Thursday with highs in the middle 40’s.
At SNOWSHOE… Partly cloudy and cooler today with highs in the lower and middle 30’s. Clear skies tonight with lower 20’s and winds from the northwest around 15 to 20 mph. Not much warmer tomorrow with sunshine and highs in the upper 30’s. Rain showers move in for Thursday afternoon with highs in the middle 40’s.
WINTERGREEN, VA & OBER GATLINBURG, TN – For today and tomorrow we’ll see sunshine with highs in the middle and upper 40’s and lows at night around 25 degrees for Wintergreen…add a couple of degrees for Ober Gatlinburg. A scattered shower is possible Thursday afternoon, but a better chance arrives on Friday (60%).
HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Some passing clouds with a morning shower or two and highs in the low 50’s this afternoon. Skies are clear tonight with lows in the mid 20’s. Sunshine is back for Wednesday with temperatures in the middle 40’s. Temperatures hold in the mid 40’s for Thursday and Friday with showers (50% to 60% chance). We’ll start off the holiday weekend with clouds and sun and more mid 40’s.
