19th Annual Oktoberfest at Sugar

OktoberFest at Sugar Mountain is always a great time and this year food, vendors and live music planned are out of this world. Pull out your stein for the 19th annual celebration at Oktoberfest at Sugar Mountain Resor, Saturday and Sunday, October 10 & 11, 2009. The weekend is packed with activities from 10:00am until 5:00pm. Admission and parking are free! Over 40 artisans and crafts vendors will sell handmade items and crafts from 10 to 5 each day of the event. A sampling of this year’s vendors include: chair canning, wooden toys, oil paintings, stain glass, handmade furniture, dolls, copper art, ceramics, honey, beeswax candles, bird houses, and much more. The resort offers chairlift rides to its 5,300 foot summit, mountain bikers are welcome to ride up and bike down, and vice versa, if you are brave. Kids can enjoy airwalks and a chance to meet Sugar Bear and Sweetie Bear and there will be plenty of delicious foods.
