Cold and Snowy Weather for the Southeast Ski Resorts

The forecast looks cold and pretty snowy for much of the region.

Here’s a breakdown by area:

Wisp Resort in Maryland should see 1-2” of snow today and tonight.  They will have some additional snow showers from Thursday through Sunday with highs in the 20s and lows in the teens throughout the period.

We’re going to take you guys to Gatlinburg, Tennessee next where Ober Gatlinburg may see some rain to snow mix today and tonight. Highs today will be in the 40s and then 23° tonight. Thursday will be mostly clear and highs will only get to the 30s and there’s a slight chance of rain on Friday…then Saturday and Sunday look sunny and cold.  Highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s this weekend.

Into West Virginia now, look for COLD and SNOW from today through Sunday. Snowshoe may see 2-4” of snow today and additional accumulations of snow through Sunday.  Highs will be in the teens and 20s and lows will be in the teens.  Winds will pick up to gusty conditions through the period from time to time making wind chills in the MINUS range.  Bundle up and wear layers and goggles if you’re skiing.

The North Carolina Mountain should see a couple of inches of snow today through Thursday with highs in the low 30s and lows in the teens.  Friday through Saturday should be snowy as well and then Sunday should be sunny with cold temps.  Highs will be in the 20s and 30s through the period and lows will stay well below normal.
