HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN….. A 40% chance of light snow to start off the week, with possible accumulation of an inch or less. Temperatures will warm up into the upper 20’s with west winds as high as 20 mph. Isolated snow showers continue (20%) Monday night with lows in the middle teens. Despite a return to sunny skies for Tuesday, temperatures will be chilly with highs in the low 20’s.

SNOWSHOE…. A weak cold front will provide a 20% chance of light snow for Monday with little or no accumulation expected. West winds will kick up between 20 and 30 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph. Temperatures climb into the middle 20’s. A 40% snow chance Monday night with possible accumulations around a half inch with very cold temperatures dipping down to around 9 degrees. Tuesday will be sunny but cold with a high around 20 degrees and wind chill values between -10 and zero.

WINTERGREEN…. Things really warm up for Monday with the mercury climbing up to 50 degrees. Skies will be sunny, but winds will be quite stiff, between 20 and 30 mph from the west. Clear and blustery for Monday night with lows in the middle teens. Sunshine returns for Tuesday, but temperatures will only warm up into the upper 30’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Sunshine is back in full force for Monday with temperatures jumping into the lower 50’s. Skies are clear Monday night with lows in the middle 20’s. Sunny skies and gradually warming temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 50’s and lower 60’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Sunny skies for the High Country on Monday with winds from west between 15 and 25 mph. Temperatures will warm up into the middle 40’s. Skies will be mostly clear Monday night with lows in the middle 20’s. Sunshine is back Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures holding in the middle 40’s.
