Maggie Valley, North Carolina – Tuesday

This “Cool Cat” make look a little worn, but they remain open on this mild Tuesday morning. The highs are forecast to reach 60° today and then there is a 70% chance of rain for Wednesday – so go get it while you can.

Cataloochee is open with some thin coverage areas popping through this morning.

Cataloochee is the only ski area that is open in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic. Both Sugar and Cat opened on Sunday, with Sugar Mountain choosing to operate for only one day.

Cataloochee seems confident in their morning snow report post, saying:

“Yes, we have opened for the season!  Cataloochee is open Tuesday from 9am – 4:30pm.  We will stay open for daily operations from 9am until 4:30pm, Monday through Friday and 8:30am – 4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.”

By the way, Cataloochee Ski Area is offering a pretty sweet deal right now. You can get FIVE DAYS OF SKIING; PLUS FIVE SKI RENTALS; PLUS FIVE LESSONS; PLUS a PAIR OF ELAN SKIS, ALL FOR $299 RIGHT NOW.

CALL CATALOOCHEE at 800.768.0285 for more information.
