Thanks to Jesse Smole of alleghanyweather.net for sending in some great images at Sugar Mountain from yesterday’s opening day. According to Jesse and some twenty other emailer conditions at Sugar after just over 30 +/- hours of snowmaking were surprisingly good.
Reports were that coverage was even, and there were no real thin spots or icy spots to speak of. Sugar made snow all last night as well and will be as long as temps allow on Saturday.
