Appalachian Ski Mountain – 33° – Reported base: 84-113" – Did NOT make snow – 100% Open – Groomed – All 10 trails, both terrain parks and ice skating. They look beautifully groomed and today will be an AWESOME day at App. 

Cataloochee Ski Area – 33° – Reported base: 50-102" – Made Snow Overnight – Groomed – 100% open with all 14 trails and terrain park features. Tubing is CLOSED for the season!

Cat Note: Sunday, March 8 is the biggest and best season pass sale of this year and next. Pass prices on this day will be the lowest of the year and if you are a new pass holder, you can ski for the rest of this year and next on this pass! Don’t forget on this day there will be special pricing not only on midweek passes for every pass we offer as well! What a deal! These special prices (including our midweek season pass for $169) will be available from 8:30am – 4:30pm only on Sunday, March 8. You can purchase here at the area or call in between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm on that Sunday only. Our early season pricing special at its next tier will continue from March 9 through March 31 Pass pricing will go up on April 1. Don’t miss out, get the best deal on March 8.

Ski Beech – 30° – Reported base: 42-80" – Groomed – Made snow overnight – Open with 13 of 15 trails – Tubing will reopen on Friday.

Beech note: LADIES DAY TODAY! All females receive a complimentary ticket valid for day and night time use. The entire front of the mountain is open. Snowtubing and The Beechtree Bar & Grill will re-open this weekend (weather permitting).

Wolf Ridge – Reported base: 40-60" – Groomed – Open with 11 of 20 trails and tubing.

Wolf note: Its Thursday, the slopes have been groomed and the day is perfect for skiing the Wolf. Remember today is homeschooler special at $20.00 lift / $13.00 half Day, $12.00 ski rental $16.00 board rental; Tonight is student special at $18.00 lift ticket,$5.00 ski rental/ $10.00 board rental. Looking forward to seeing you at the Wolf. See you on the slopes.

Sugar Mountain – 35° – Reported base: 44-94" – Groomed / Manmade – Did NOT make snow – 100% open with all 20 trails, tubing and ice skating open as well.

Saphire Valley – IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON

The weather will be AWESOME for the next several days in the mountains of North Carolina! Sunny skies and highs as such:

Thursday: 54°
Friday: 61°
Saturday: 69° (probably see some 70s!)

Sunday: 67°

According to the latest forecasts, don’t get too attached to the mild temps as cooler weather returns around Thursday or Friday of next week. This season still has some weeks left in it.

The weather forecast is looking very cooperative as there is some slight chances of a shower BEFORE 9am on Saturday, then cloudy all day! Sunday? Cloudy but no rain until AFTER 3pm. Is Ma Nature staging this thing just right? So far it looks like it! Come join us!
