HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:
Piling it on Up North…..

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. A few snow showers to start the weekend on Saturday morning afternoon (60% chance) with a high around 20 degrees. Skies will be clear overnight with a low in the lower teens. Clouds are back for Sunday with a 60% chance of snow by the late morning or early afternoon. Snow showers linger into Monday and Tuesday with highs in the upper 20’s.

SNOWSHOE…. Some morning light snow on Saturday (50%), then cloudy and windy with a high around 17 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy Saturday night with temperatures in the low and middle teens. Snow returns on Sunday (80% chance) with a high in the middle 20’s. Still holding on to a 40% snow chance on Monday and Tuesday with highs in the upper 20’s.

WINTERGREEN…. Saturday will provide a sunny start to the weekend with a high around 40 degrees. Clouds are on the increase for Saturday night with a low in the upper teens. Snow moves in for Sunday with a 70% chance of flakes flying, and highs in the upper 20’s. Flakes taper off to freezing drizzle on Sunday night with a low in the low 20’s. Monday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the middle 30’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Saturday will be partly cloudy with a high in the lower 40’s. Clouds will be on the increase Saturday night with temperatures in the upper 20’s. An 80% chance of a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain on Sunday with temperatures in the upper 30’s. Temperatures hold nearly steady for Sunday night with the wintry mix changing to rain. An isolated showers for Monday with highs in the upper 40’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Saturday will start off the weekend with sun and clouds, and a high around 35 degrees and gusty winds out of the northwest around 25 mph. Saturday night will bring increasing clouds with a low around 18 degrees. Winter weather is back for Sunday with a 90% chance of a snow and sleet mix with a high around 31 degrees. Nearly steady temperatures over Sunday night with rain and freezing rain. Lingering clouds for Monday with highs in the middle 30’s.
