Our lodging is just 200′ from the Winterset Trail on Timberline Mountain and we hit the slopes just before 9am and got in six quick blasts down the mountain. It felt MUCH colder than the reported 17° as everyone was complaining about frozen fingers pretty early on the mountain.
The snow was awesome as we did those first few laps down Twister, Dew Drop and Salamander. We’re headed out again shortly, but here is a quick shot at the Twister.
