HERES’ THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:
The Big Question for Tuesday Night….. Wet Snow or Cold Rain ????
For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN we’ll see sunshine with highs in the middle and upper 40’s today and tomorrow with winds out of the west around 5 to 10 mph. Clouds are on the increase late Tuesday with highs in the upper 40’s and lower 50’s. Scattered showers move in with temperatures just a degree or two above the freezing mark. We’ll see a good chance of rain through Wednesday with highs in the upper 40’s.
At SNOWSHOE look for highs in the middle and upper 40’s today and tomorrow. Lows will fall into the middle 30’s tonight. Tuesday we’ll see partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 40’s and lower 50’s. Late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning we’ll see rain mixing with and possibly changing over to wet snow.
WINTERGREEN, VA & OBER GATLINBURG, TN – We’ll see some sunshine with temperatures in the upper 50’s and lower 50’s for today. More sunshine for Tuesday with middle 50’s for Gatlinburg and a few degrees cooler for Wintergreen. Rain showers move in late Tuesday night with more wet weather for Wednesday. Highs will be in the low 50’s.
HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
We’ll start off the week with more sunshine today and add a degree or two onto afternoon readings for highs in the middle 50’s. Tuesday will be mostly sunny with temperatures in the middle 50’s. Rain showers develop for Tuesday night and early Wednesday as a cold front moves through the High Country with lows in the low to middle 30’s… so a rain to snow mix for a couple or three hours is a possibility for the early morning. Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 40’s.
