HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. Picking up an inch or so of snow (70%) today as temperatures fall into the upper teens for the afternoon. Cloudy and cold with snow showers tonight (50%) and a low around 5 degrees. A 30% snow chance for Thursday with temperatures in the middle teens.

SNOWSHOE…. Look for 1 to 3 inches of snow today (70%) with temperatures in the upper 20’s. More light snow likely tonight, with another inch accumulation possible. Get this — an overnight low around – 3 degrees!!! Tomorrow a 50% chance of lingering snow showers with a high around 14 degrees.

WINTERGREEN…. Freezing rain to start off the day with partly sunny skies later in the afternoon with temperatures in the upper 30’s. Possible ice accumulations around a half inch to an inch. Skies stay partly cloudy tonight with a low round 15 degrees. Thursday will be mostly sunny with the mercury making it into the middle 20’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Cooler temperatures on today with a 30% chance of light snow and highs in the middle 30’s. Snow accumulation of a half inch or less. Skies are partly cloudy tonight with lows in the middle teens. Afternoon temperatures are back into the middle 30’s on Thursday with partly cloudy skies.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Today, look for a 40% snow chance with temperatures in the upper 20’s in the High Country. It will be blustery with winds up to 50 mph at times from the northwest. Still windy tonight with a few lingering clouds and lows in the middle teens. Cooler with some sunshine moving back in for Thursday. Highs will only make it into the middle 20’s. A bit warmer for Friday with upper 20’s and partly cloudy conditions.
