HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. Scattered flurries for Thursday with highs in the middle teens and a wind chill making it feel more like – 10 to -15 degrees. Snow flurries are still in the picture for Thursday evening with a low around 6 degrees. Ending the week on Friday with a 40% snow chance and a high around 16 degrees. Saturday will be slightly warmer, with a high close to 20 degrees and isolated (20%) snow showers.

SNOWSHOE….  For Thursday look for partly cloudy skies and a high around 7… gusty winds will make it feel like -15 to -20 degrees. Clear skies Thursday night with temperatures bottoming out in the zero range, and a wind chill of – 20 or so. A 30% snow chance returns for Friday and Saturday, with highs between 6 and 9 degrees.

WINTERGREEN….  Partly cloudy skies for Thursday with a high around 33 degrees by the afternoon. the mercury falls down around 10 degrees Thursday night with a few passing clouds. Sunny skies are back for Saturday and Sunday with temperatures in the low 30’s.

OBER GATLINBURG…. More low 40’s for Thursday with partly cloudy skies. After an uneventful Thursday night in the low 20’s, look for partly cloudy skies to return Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will climb into the upper 30’s to around 40 degrees both days.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Partly cloudy skies for the High Country on Thursday with temperatures in the low 30’s. Winds will be very manageable, from the west between 10 to 15 mph. Clear skies Thursday night with a low around 18 degrees. A very quiet pattern sets up for Friday and lasts through Sunday with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to middle 30’s.
