Posting today’s update is late. I know that. Sorry mom! (Mom looks at this site nearly every day. Hi mom!)

I got in the office early this morning, got the SLOPE REPORT updated by 8:00am, and then had my morning story all ready to go and then I attempted to show one of our office staff something online and my computer literally froze up solid. I’ve had programs stop working and crash, but I have not had my computer lock up with no mouse, no keyboard, no nothing – AND NO SAVED STORY! (Okay it HAS happened back in the early days of Windows, but not in a long time. )

About the time all that was happening, clients began to need my attention, and we had multiple phone orders for some cool new SkiNC and SkiSoutheast banners, stickers, hoodies, tees and seemingly everything else coming in all at the same time. I had also scheduled to meet with our staff and promote a new administrative assistant.

So translation…this has or has not been a stereo-typical Monday – depending on how you want to look at it! With that in mind, I am compiling today’s post on SkiNC and SkiSoutheast.com to save time! So read on…and check back Tuesday AM for the normal segregating of content via the two websites…and thanks for understanding!

Let’s get to the news…

Meteorologist Matthew East has updated his Video Skier’s Forecast for this week and into next weekend. You can see the full forecast and his video by clicking here> Skier’s Forecast for the Southeast and Mid Atlantic

The forecast looks GREAT for some snowmaking at night and some mixed precip during mid week. Things look great for around the clock snowmaking for Thursday and all through the weekend with some more snow in the forecast for the week for some of the ski areas into West Virginia and into North Carolina for this weekend. The forecast for Saturday’s SkiNC / Ski Beech Summit looks awesome and conditions should be sweet!

SUMMIT NEWS AND UPDATES…

We have some great fun planned for the event Saturday in addition to making some great turns at Ski Beech. We will share those with you guys in great detail separately over on SkiNC.com later in the afternoon. Check back for those details on the front page and over on the summit page. SKISOUTHEAST.COM / SNOWSHOE SUMMIT MARCH 6-8th

With all of the attention (and deservedly so) going to this weekend’s SkiNC Summit, we don’t want to let too much more time to pass before we boost the focus over to the SkiSoutheast.com / Snowshoe Summit. A lot of our messageboard crew has already said they will be there. I was speaking briefly with Laura Parquette up at Snowshoe and we want to make sure that all of you are planning on attending that great weekend long event make certain to make your reservations using the reservation code to insure that you get the proper discounts on lodging and lift tickets etc. We had a ball last March with more than 140 people attending and we’ll be covering all of the fun planned etc later mid week this week over on SkiSoutheast.com

Be sure to check back for that news!

I’ll save the rest of our news that we planned to announce today for Tuesday morning. So…

Until Next Time…
