That sound you here are that of nearly 100 snowguns at Snowshoe Mountain! Snowmaking resumed this morning at 8am at the Snowshoe and Silver Creek areas as the temperatures dropped throughout the day.

At 3 am Thursday morning it was 43 degrees and by 11 am it was 24 degrees with natural snowfall (flurries). It was snowing at 4800 feet and as low as 2800 feet. Snowmaking will continue around the clock as long as the temperatures permit. Right now with the temperatures that are in the forecast it looks like Snowshoe will be opening Thursday 12/2 or Friday 12/3!
