HERE’S THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

For WISP, TIMBERLINE & CANAAN…. A wintry mix for Tuesday with 3 to 5 inches of possible snow accumulation. Mainly snow Tuesday night, with possible freezing rain early. New possible snow around 1 to 3 inches possible, with lows in the middle teens. A 60% chance of morning snow showers holds over into Wednesday morning, with a high around 23 degrees.

SNOWSHOE…. A wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain for Tuesday with temperatures in the upper 20’s. A cold one Tuesday night with freezing rain or snow possible. By Wednesday, a 50% chance of snow showers remain with temperatures nearly steady in the middle 20’s. .

WINTERGREEN…. For Tuesday, temperatures hold steady in the low 30’s with a 90% chance of snow, mixing with sleet at times. The wintry mix continues Tuesday night and Wednesday with lows in the upper 20’s and highs around 33 degrees.

OBER GATLINBURG…. Rain is likely (100% chance) on Tuesday, with temperatures in the middle 50’s. Temperatures fall into the lower 30’s Tuesday night with a 90% rain chance. Cooler temperatures on Wednesday with a 30% chance of light snow and highs in the middle 30’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….
Cooler with rain likely (100% chance) on Tuesday and highs in the lower 40’s. . As temperatures fall into the upper 20’s Tuesday night, rain and freezing rain are likely. By Wednesday, look for a 40% snow chance with temperatures in the middle and upper 20’s. Cooler with some sunshine moving back in for Thursday. Highs will only make it into the upper 20’s.
