Cold weather in the forecast….

A cold front will usher in colder temperatures to the region Thursday. In fact, some snow showers will be possible in Maryland and maybe even in the Virginias. Temps will likely remain in the 30s for highs in the Virginias and Maryland through Saturday, with a lot of 40s for the higher spots in the North Carolina mountains. Snow making temps will occur in most spots each night Thursday night into the weekend.

An arctic cold front will move our way Sunday and bring some rain to the region Sunday into Sunday night. Then, some very cold air will surge into the region by Monday.

I can’t stress this enough….it looks quite cold and VERY windy over the entire region Monday. This looks like the coldest air will have seen so far this season….mainly Monday and Tuesday. This will be air straight from the arctic, and it will mean business. Stay tuned….
