NC MOUNTAINS – Near record high temps for Sunday with Partly Cloudy skies and 71°. Monday should about the same with a 40% chance of a thunderstorm. Tuesday will drop the high temps by more than twenty degrees (high of 49°) and provide a mix of underdeveloped snow or maybe SOME snow at the higher elevations as temps dip to 26° or so overnight. Wednesday should be sunny and 51°. Wednesday night 31°. (May be cold enough to make snow). Thursday will be cloudy with a 30% chance of showers. Friday and Saturday should be sunny and mild with highs around 51° both days and lows overnight at about 30°.
WISP RESORT IN MARYLAND – They may see a mix of clouds and sun with a shot of a thunderstorm today and Monday and highs near 70° both days. Tuesday should provide a mix of snow and rain with the high dropping to 41° on Monday. Overnight lows should be 27° and there’s a 50% chance of precip. Wednesday should be nice and sunny with a high of 40° and a low of 29°. Thursday offers another 50% chance of a rain / snow mix. Highs Thursday should be around 43°. Overnight lows will dip to good snowmaking ops of about 25°. Friday and Saturday should be sunny and highs both days will be 39° and lows around 20°!
SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN WEST VIRGINIA – There’s a 40-50% chance of showers Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at Snowshoe. Look for a mix of sun and clouds today and Monday with highs around 68° and a 50% chance of thunderstorms.
Tuesday looks like more clouds and light rain and a dramatic drop in temps to 38° for a high.
Overnight lows Tuesday night should get to 23°.
Snowmaking anyone?
Wednesday will be sunny and cold with highs around 37° and lows near 20°.
Thursday will bring another 40% chance of a light shower and highs near 38°.
Thursday night we may see a snow flurry or two and a low near 23°.
Friday will be SNOW and perfect timing for Snowshoe 24’s racing fun.
Highs Friday will be around 30° and Friday night’s low should be near 27°.
Saturday should be picture perfect with highs near 40° and overnight lows around 26°.
THE VIRGINIA RESORTS – should see a nice week ahead with lots of sun and less chance of rain. Sunday look for near record highs around 77°. Warmer still on Monday with a high near 80°! Tuesday should be a mix of sun and clouds with a high near 56° and a 50% chance of a shower or two. Wednesday and Thursday should be beautiful with highs near 53° and overnight lows near 28° both nights.
