Opened in 1962, Appalachian Ski Mountain boast ten slopes, five lifts, and newly installed snowmaking equipment, all of which promise skiers and snowboarders alike the best Blowing Rock NC Skiing conditions seven days—and seven nights—a week every November through April. The French Swiss Ski College offers guests of all ages and skill levels the best personalized attention, and the Alpine Ski Store has everything guests will need to enjoy the slopes in style, including full clothing and equipment rentals. An onsite nursery cares for children ages one to four so that parents can enjoy the slopes without having to worry about the safety of their little ones, and the Ski Lodge is a great place to warm up with a nice, hot meal by the fire. Appalachian Ski Mountain has been consistently voted the area’s premier snowboarding destination during the past couple of years, and also boasts a panoramic outdoor ice arena for ice skaters.
