HERES’ THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

The Christmas outlook… it could be worse. For now it’s looking cool and wet for Christmas Eve, with a chance of at least some light snow up North for Christmas Day, and a rain snow mix elsewhere (YAHOO!!!)

For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN… Sunny skies for today with highs in the lower 40’s. Afternoon rain showers move in for Thursday with highs in the middle 40’s. Showers stick around for Thursday night with lows holding a degree or 3 above the freezing mark. Wet with a 60% rain chance for Friday and highs in the middle 40’s.

At SNOWSHOE… Chilly today with sunny skies for today with highs in the middle 30’s. Afternoon rain showers move in for Thursday with highs in the middle 40’s. Showers stick around for Thursday evening, changing to light snow late as temperatures fall into the low 30’s.. Wet with a 60% rain chance for Friday and highs in the lower 40’s.

WINTERGREEN, VA & OBER GATLINBURG, TN – Sunny skies for today with highs in the upper 40’s for Wintergreen and low 50’s for Ober Gatlinburg. Clouds are on the increase Thursday for Wintergreen with a 50% rain chance in Ober Gatlinburg with highs in the middle and upper 40’s. Showers Thursday night with lows in the upper 30’s for Wintergreen… add about 5 to that for Ober Gatlinburg.. Wet with a 60% rain chance for Friday and highs in the upper 40’s to lower 50’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Sunshine is back for today with temperatures in the upper 40’s. Temperatures are a degree or two warmer Thursday with afternoon rain showers developing . We’re looking for a 60% rain chance for Thursday night as lows bottom out in the upper 30’s. It’s duck weather for Friday with a high around 50 degrees. Same temperatures for Saturday, only not quacking quite so loudly, with just scattered showers.
