HERES’ THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

The mild trend this weekend will get toned down a little by Tuesday. Down the road toward Christmas, and I‘m talking long-range ballpark here… things still are looking to hold above average on the temperature side until a cold snap hits somewhere between the 24th and 26th (highs in the lower 30’s… lows in the teens.)

For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN… Looks like a very mild weekend ahead with sunshine and low 50’s for today. Lows tonight in the low and middle 30’s. Even warmer for Sunday with temperatures in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s. Down the road, looks like the closest shot for any "weather" will be a cold rain Monday night into Tuesday.

At SNOWSHOE…. A Sunny Saturday with highs in the middle and upper 40’s…. lows in the mid 30’s with clear skies. Sunday is a little warmer with middle 50’s. Things are dry until late Monday night into Tuesday with some showers moving in and highs Tuesday in the low 40’s.

WINTERGREEN, VA & OBER GATLINBURG, TN – A sunny weekend with highs in the middle 50’s for today and lower 60’s on Sunday. More sunshine and 60’s for Monday, then a weak (dry for Wintergreen and only a 20%) rain chance for Gatlinburg) cold front for will push temperatures back into the lower 50’s for Tuesday.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Kicking off the weekend with sunshine and highs in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s. Clear and cool tonight with lows in the low and middle 30’s. More low 60’s and sunshine carrying us into Monday. A weak cold front will move through late Monday night with only a few passing clouds and cooler temperatures on Tuesday ( low 50’s ) to show for it.
