Okay, unless you’re a snow-loving, frigid-temperature-craving, soul – Sunday will not be offering what most people consider to be a typical, Spring day.
Photo of the day is from the Top of Timberline Mountain Sunday…
However, for those of us who are all about the cold and snow, today will be glorious. Most of the mountaintops of our region saw anywhere from 4-6″ of natural snow and some of the luckier ski areas picked up 6-7″ of snowfall. The winds were HOWLING on Saturday, especially on top of the peaks and those made for some brutal turns – but yours truly was able to weather the 45mph wind gusts and blowing snow to enjoy some amazing turns here at Timberline Mountain.
We even ventured into the metropolis of Davis, WV for dinner last night and that was an adventure on the roads but worth every bit of it as Sirianni’s Café is a treat.
The winds have died this morning and the sun is shining brilliantly and inviting me to cut this morning’s ramble short – so that I can make it on the slopes by 9am.
I will post some pics and updates in a bit.
Til then, here are some great shares from around the region. Be sure to check out the SNOW REPORT as four of our ski areas are making TODAY, the last day of the 2021-2022 ski & snowboarding season. Check out all of the snow totals, slopes open and more.
These photos won’t make anyone think of Spring!
