Today’s featured image is from App Ski Mountain from this past weekend. It was too good not to share it again.

The countdown clock is on to get those final laps.

It is hard that we are nearing the end of an incredible 2020-21 season.

We know the closing dates for most resorts, but there are a couple who haven’t announced their season-closing plans just yet.

As was the case yesterday, we are pretty much status quo on conditions at the six resorts that are open today. For the full conditions, be sure to visit the Snow Reports page for the latest updates.

The six resorts spinning today are App Ski Mountain, Beech Mountain, Cataloochee, Snowshoe, Sugar Mountain, and Wisp.

Here is a quick look at what we know as of this morning about their closing plans.

App Ski Mountain – Closing for the season at 5p on Sunday, March 28.
Beech Mountain – Wrapping up the season on Saturday, March 27.
Cataloochee – Haven’t announced a closing date just yet.
Snowshoe – There are only four days left at 4848′ this season as Sunday, March 28 looks to be the final day.
Sugar Mountain – Hasn’t released a closing date.
Wisp – Sunday, March 28 will also be the final day for Wisp’s season.

Timberline is slated to reopen for a bonus day on Saturday, while Massanutten is planning on reopening this weekend for a weekend-only schedule.

Mother Nature is throwing a wrench in the plans for the end of the season with some rain today, but it won’t be a complete washout.

As was the case last Thursday, today will be a great day to stay weather-aware as we could see storms this evening depending on where you are at, and we are also sending good vibes to those in the deep south as another severe threat bears down on the area.

The weather does appear to look like a mixed bag over the weekend, but we will take a closer look at that forecast in the morning.

There is still plenty of snow to play on so be sure to get out and get some laps in while we still can.

That does it for today, but until next time, #ThinkSnow!
