First of all I need to tell all of our On-Snow Reporters to please keep the photos and reports coming, however I won’t be able to post them until later this evening hopefully. I am traveling and when I tried to remote into my office computer…it didn’t let me. So, I had to get REAL inventive JUST to get the ski report updated AND be able to update today’s stories. I am aware that we have some GREAT photos that came in and some sweet reports from you guys and I will get to them later when I am able to remote connect to my office system.

Now to today’s highlights The temperatures overnight were among some of the strangest we’ve seen in a while. Beech reported 25, Boone had 21 and Banner Elk showed 18. The weather should be great for skiing today, with VERY NICE, early season conditions on your favorite resort.

The weather is turning colder and snowier on Sunday and Monday and the weather man is advising of some dangerous wind chills early in the week, with temps in the single digits range and winds that could top 60mph at night. The cold temps will stick around with some patches of snow here and there throughout the week so your Holiday Skiing and Riding will be SWEET!

All of the resorts reported that they made snow last night except Appalachian. Ski Beech is still making snow and say that they will continue to do so in selected areas today as long as temps allow.

So get out and enjoy the snow and until next time…THINK SNOW AND COLD!
