This is certainly beginning to be the time of the year where you can Ski/Ride in the morning AND another outdoor pursuit in the afternooon! . . . or Vice-a-Versa

Overnight felt like a ‘house divided’ as temps in VA/MD were unseasonably cold overnight (low to mid 20’s at Wintergreen, Massanutten, Bryce, and Wisp), and MOST of these resorts capitalized on a little bump in snow making.

On the flip-side, NC/WV saw mid 30’s to low 40’s for temps overnight, but the base depths are still very strong after some heavy snow making earlier in the week.

Today puts almost all the resorts into some fairly comfortable temps (48F at Wisp) with soft snow and some sunshine being abundant.

Tonight the pattern changes a bit for points north as we may see some freezing rain (Snowshoe) AND some flurries at Canaan/Wisp. Some of the other resorts will have a chance of that ‘other’ wet stuff.

But, the good news is that March might just come ‘roaring-in’ like a Lion!
