Today’s featured image is from App Ski Mountain. What a beautiful sunrise on this Wednesday morning.

It is going to be a spring-like Wednesday.

I guess that makes sense since it is March, but it is hard to believe that we are just a couple of days away from a glorious weekend of natural snow and cold and today we are looking at temperatures in the 50’s in several locales then back to cold and snow by Friday.

What a roller coaster ride the weather has been this year.

It seems we have had this midweek warmup several weeks this season before the temperatures bottom out and this week seems to be no different.

Today will be a beautiful day to get on the slopes and conditions will be fantastic. You can view the full conditions report over on the Snow Reports page.

The main takeaway is that conditions are still really good. The snow will be soft and playful – especially as the temperature warms up today.

After a warmish Wednesday and some underdeveloped snow on Thursday, cold air rushes back in and will bring some natural powder – especially to the northern resorts. We aren’t looking at totals like we had last weekend, but 3-6” is certainly in the cards at the higher resorts and maybe more depending on how things come together.

We should have a better idea of where those totals will land tomorrow. The main thing is that we are looking at a northwest flow event so let’s hope for overperforming.

Along with the snow comes the cold temperatures. With feels-like temperatures in the low single digits and negatives, you will need the proper gear Friday and Saturday.

All that will make for fantastic conditions this weekend.

It was a busy day yesterday as we continued to wrap up from the Summit.

Ron Miller shared a ton of great shots from the weekend and here are a couple of the best.

It was hard to pick just a couple.

That will do it for today but until next time #ThinkSnow!
