Brian Duy sent in this great trip report from the first part of their journey at Snowshoe.

The annual Duy/Chamberlin family ski trip has begun!

The Duy’s left Fredericksburg VA at 6 am and arrived at the Shoe at 10:05 to beautiful snow-covered mountains.

Snowshoe had received 8 inches over the past 48 hours so the conditions were pristine. We parked at The Top of the World, changed into our ski gear and hit the slopes.

Upper Flume and Lower Hootenanny were in great shape and the lines at Soaring Eagle lift were minimal as they always are.

After numerous runs, we met up with PBR Pop-Pop and Grandma Christy at Hoots for a drink and a snack as we waited for our room to be ready. The grandparents traveled all the way from Florida to hit the slopes with their grandchildren.

It’s been a terrific start to the annual trip and we can’t wait to shred the slopes all week.
