“More of a Fun Thursday Night Adult Race League”, says Talia Freeman, Director of Marketing for Beech Mountain Resort.
Beech Mountain Resort’s Inaugural Adult Racing League starts Thursday night, January 23rd and weather permitting will happen each Thursday night, (January 23rd, 30th and February 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th.)
Beech Mountain Resort’s Adult Race League is presented by Appalachian Mountain Brewing Co., Ski Southeast, and Root Down Hair Studio.
Races are on Thursday nights for six weeks of team competition in a giant slalom format. Six-person teams (Ages 18 and Older) compete for the best times on course.
Every night ends with a raffle and social in the Taproom and Grill. Top prize is $1000 CASH!

Talia shared, “We are going to do two categories, ski and board for winners. I just want it to be fun and relaxed. I am hoping to set our league apart from the others as more of a fun night to be at Beech, with some fun competition thrown in.”

Race Schedule January 23:
4:00 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. – Racer Check-In in Beech Mountain Brewing Co. Taproom and Grill the day of the race
5:45 p.m. – Racers meeting at the top of Race Course on Robbin’s Run
6 p.m. – Race Start
8 p.m. – Race End
Immediately following the last run, After party in Beech Mountain Brewing Co. Taproom and Grill
Race Rules:
NASTAR Handicaps will be used.
Each team must select a captain who will interact with race officials.

Prizes and Trophies for Top Three Teams
At the end of the season, there will be prizes and trophies for the top three teams. First place will receive $1,000, second place will receive $500 and third place will receive $250.
