It is another gorgeous Saturday in the Southeast and today’s attendance at our ski resorts of the region will do nothing but add to the already, record-breaking numbers of skiers & snowboarders who have graced our slopes this season.

Yesterday was amazing. Thanks to Sam England, Samantha Haverty and Mark Moody – I got the hookup and played at Canaan Valley Resort all day on Friday. Sam is the new guy at the helm, running things after the longtime and popular Steve Drumheller retired. Sam could not have hand-picked a better season to take on that role. Of course, it has been challenging with all of the covid-related tweaks, but record numbers have attended the popular West Virginia ski resort.

I will be out enjoying another day at Canaan Valley Resort, while Kenny Griffin plays at Snowshoe Mountain with some of the regular SkiSoutheast Summit crew – shout out to Pink and crew! Brian Dix is riding at Wintergreen Resort today and I will be hanging with Joe Stevens, his son Christian and Mark Moody for another day of fun at Canaan Valley before heading over to Timberline Mountain on Sunday.

I’ll post more later, but for now – here are some shares.

Beech drops five trails. Upper & Lower Robbins Run, Upper & Lower Southern Star and Oz Run are now closed.

Cataloochee was blasting the slopes this morning

Cataloochee Ski Area was bombing the slopes this morning. We ALL love seeing that.

Massanutten is SOLD OUT today and tonight – and tonight is the last night session of the season.

Snowshoe Mountain posted this:

Thanks to low nighttime temperatures, snowmaking continues across the mountain and our runs in tip top shape. It’s a great day to catch rope drop at Snowshoe or Silver Creek, and wherever you ride you’ll probably be saying “sweeeet groooom” more than once throughout the morning. Sunglasses are in order and it’s a great day to have a ride break by the fires in the village!

Sugar Mountain continues to make snow and is 100% open

Omni Homestead Resort celebrating last weekend! Mini-snowmobiles and tubing open. Last Weekend Luau on Saturday!

We’ll be sharing some photos and videos LIVE via Facebook and Instagram today AND we will get them posted here later this evening, so check back.
