HERES’ THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

No spectacular cold blast in sight….

For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN…. Partly cloudy skies for day #2 of 2007 with upper 30‘s on the mercury. A clear overnight period with a low around 20 degrees. Sunshine rules for Wednesday with isolated afternoon rain showers on Thursday. Temperatures will top out around 50 degrees both days..

At SNOWSHOE…. After some morning drizzle, clouds will be on the decrease for the rest of the day. Look for high temperatures around 40 degrees. Clear and upper 20‘s for tonight. The area will see mostly sunny skies for Wednesday with isolated afternoon rain showers on Thursday. Temperatures will top out in the upper 40’s both days..

WINTERGREEN, VA & OBER GATLINBURG, TN – A sunny Tuesday with upper 40’s and lower 50’s overnight lows in the middle and upper 20’s. Wednesday will be sunny with scattered showers by Thursday. Highs will range from the middle 50’s to lower 60’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Decreasing clouds and breezy conditions (west wind around 20 mph) for the High Country. Through the afternoon, skies will clear up as winds settle down. Look for highs in the middle and upper 40’s. High pressure parked over the southeast will provide sunny skies for Wednesday. An approaching area of low pressure from the southwest pulls in some moisture by Thursday with scattered rain showers for the second half of the day. Highs Wednesday and Thursday will make it into the lower 50’s.
