The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

I doubt you could ever get something that good approved, but how about reviving Hawksnest as a Co-op? The resort could probably be bought for cheap. I wonder how much things have changed politically in the Town of Seven Devils? I wonder if the residents that own property there are ready for the resort to open the upper mountain back up and increase their property values? And that zip line course looks dope!?

The Nest, Scaly, Sky Valley, all areas we’ve lost since I’ve been around. Phoenix Mountain was a wonderful rumor that never happened. Back in the old days, you probably could have gotten a group together to buy a slope side condo at Sugar or even Snowshoe. Mike could have made a push for a “co-op” members ski area. Then the mods went crazy, this place lost its soul and now it’s a ghost town, much like the one in Maggie Valley, this one would be great if it rose again, but I think it’s beyond that happening now.

many people go to social media platforms...perhaps a skise messageboard fb group for people to discuss things would be appropriate
