The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Just following introductory protocol... I've been on this site for a while and appreciate the advice, reports, and well-intended jokes. As for me, I just hit 40 yrs. old and became a serious skier about five years ago. Better late than never, I suppose.

I live in Hillsborough, NC with my wife and two boys (11 and 8). Thus far, skiing has been a vacation for me and wifey, but we really want the boys to take to it and enjoy it as much as we do. Past ventures took us to Wintergreen, Winterplace, and Snowshoe locally, plus Park City, Deer Valley, Vail, and Beaver Creek out west.

Outside of skiing, I work at UNC-Chapel Hill, love all sports, and really miss watching the Canes play (with hopes the lockout ends soon).

Here's hoping this season turns out better than last year. - Scott

Welcome! Look us up at Beech sometime! My husband is a hockey player as well as a skier and I didn't start skiing until age 49! Have fun.

Dang, Pink, does not seem like you've been skiing for 20 years now. Time flies when you are having fun.

Yes it is hard to believe someone as old as I am can operate the camera and computer to make TRs. Lol.

Maybe when I grow up and get your age, I'll be able to do the same.

Yeah, I know. I got #57 coming up soon. The goods news is that I've been skiing since I was 18 every year except for 4 years. But starting to really feel it on the knees.
