First time caller!

Hey guys, I’m a Winston-Salem native and Washington, DC resident who has grown up skiing a few times a year for the last 20 years or so.

I’ve only been to NC resorts and Winterplace, but this season I’m planning a trip to Utah and would like to hit up Timberline in WV as well.

Last year I really got into following this site while bored at work, so I thought I would join this year.

Nice to meet you all!

Nice to have you here. Where are you thinking of going in Utah? And when will you be there?

I'm planning to be there February 2 through 9.

I’m staying with a friend in SLC the first week of March.

Planning on Brighton and Solitude for a day each, and a third somewhere else.

Great place to have a friend! I'm completely biased, but if you haven't been then Alta would be my suggestion for the third day. It's my favorite out west, even after getting to quite a few others in the past decade. Been taking full advantage of being retired and having ski buddies who are also retired.

I'll be back at Alta in April for my usual late season trip.
2020-21: JH/GT, Alta, Massanutten. Planned: Indy for Cat, CV; Ikon in Colorado plus Monarch, Wolf Creek.
