The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Hello, my name is Brian and I've been lurking on the site for a few months.

I found you all after leaving DC last winter with a serious case of powder fever. I've only skiied the East Coast and got back into things last winter after a trip to VT.

I'm currently working part-time, and while looking for something more permanent I've had the great fortune to get out ~15 times this year at Sugar and Beech.

I'm usually skiing with at least one other person, mostly making the 2.5 hour trip from the Piedmont.

My goal is to produce a TR soon. I've loved the reports from JamSandwhich.

Perhaps I'll see some of you out soon, especially folks getting out on a weekday.

Welcome! Piedmont where? Have you checked out the Triangle carpool thread?

Welcome "pig". Look for SkiNCers on the slopes. Stickers are usually pretty easily spotted. More are available. Hope to make some turns with you sometime down the road.

I live in Greensboro, not a bad drive at all, I'm hoping for some snow this weekend. I'll check the carpool thread now.

Thank you for the heads-up on the ticket price skip. That's hard to beat.

I should also mention I'm interested in paddling the Haw River if we get a warmer weekend in the Piedmont, if anyone is interested.
