Eden Mill was a private ski slope near Ruffs Mill Road in Butler, Maryland. According to some residents there is an old rope tower that still exists. The small ski hill was not a commercial venture as it was operated strictly for fun. The private owner let people ski there for free when there was enough natural snow to allow operations. The small operation had a few steep spots and was wide open.

Although the story has not been confirmed by anyone, rumor has it that someone was hurt while skiing and filed a lawsuit. The spot allows limited access now to hanggliders now.
