I've been looking at resortcams, and it looks like the wind has been blowing to the point that I can't even see much. It looks like the slopes have been closed early. Not that I blame them. No way I'd make the drive under those conditions.
Are you guys getting that arctic blast? Eastern Missouri got hit pretty hard, and we're only just rebounding. Was -4 during the daytime with a windchill of -30 earlier this week; now we're back up to 18 with the wind died down.
The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

What's going on with the weather in NC?
The Fam and I are leaving Friday going to Cleveland, TN to visit my brothers that live there then headed to Beech Monday thru Wednesday. Warmer and wetter than I hoped but I think they have enough base to get thru it.

We have a ski area about an hour west of where I live called Hidden Valley, and it's a joke. They only just opened on Christmas. Not their fault; the weather has been too warm out here, but their daytime rates are the same as App was, but they're open only from 12 noon to 6 pm. Unfortunately Missouri is about to go back into the 50s and 60s later this week.
I haven't been skiing in years, but I'd go east and relive some good memories at App or Sugar. I see they have a Doppelmayr now. I love those things.
