The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Let's start a weather forum/thread

This is the place to post your weather comments, photos, questions, maps and insight.

For all of you weather peeps and geeks - please start adding your weather content on this forum. Also MODS if you guys want we can MOVE the older weather threads to this location. We're going to be promoting the weather content from Brad Panovich, Joe Murgo and from those of you who like to post that sort of information on this messageboard via www.HighCountryWeather.com AND www.HighCountryWebCams.com.

This should create a new set of members with interests in the area. Let's welcome the increased members and traffic. You'll see some changes via the way that we are promoting the messageboard and our network of traffic VERY SOON!

Stay tuned.

FYI, a new www.HighCountryWeather.com will go LIVE towards the end of the week (Oct 18-22) that will include data FROM the ski areas mountain locations. We're coordinating with all ski areas to provide new weather equipment, data loggers and more. For the first time you'll be able to see the temperatures FROM the mountain for all participating ski areas.

Yes, some have been providing that information, but not for all 17 ski areas in the Southeast and Mid Atlantic and not in one convenient location.

More to come...

Besides the Hall of Fame forum this is easily going to be the best feature of the site as long as it's ran as advertised.

Excellent addition.
