The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

We are four days out, the models are in disagreement, and the latest GFS ensembles look to me like they are going to run up the coast rather than westward. I bet we see the models flip flop a few times over the weekend, and I'm not going to set any expectations until 24-48 hours out. Too hard to say right now.

Edit: Take my grumpy amateur weather musings with a grain of salt, I just hate getting up my hopes for big snow events :D

Well the GFS has been crap and I"m sticking more with the EURO and GEM right now they have been most consistent and cold. Either way the wind and the cold NWFS is unmistakable regardless of how big the storm gets.

Ray is now talking about it. It's evidently bouncing back and forth a bit to potentially be a BOMB as Brad described it...or not so much. I'm sure it will all come together over the weekend and people off the mountain will be cleaning the shelves of bread and milk!

Bring it on. It will shut DC down! And perhaps cancel a couple meetings I have and I can hit the slopes.
