The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

My fiance and I went up to Lake Isabelle in the Indian Peaks for a leisurely hike (about 7 miles, but not much elevation gain or loss)- mostly to get the hell out of the 100 degree heat in Denver. This is a well-traveled trail on the weekends, but luckily most people wussed out and didn't go all the way up to Lake Isabelle. When we got up there, we had our own little area to play. I think I've posted pics like this before, but my black lab Yoshi loves jumping off big boulders into the lakes we hike to- so much so, that he shakes and whines when we make him stop. On to the pics:

Heading up to the lake on the spur trail:

Pretty cool view back down over Long Lake:

Yoshi loves hucking his meat off 10' rocks into the water. He usually goes 2-3 feet under and then pops right up for the ball:

Always nice and relaxed in the air:

Hey dad, can you get the ball for us?

On the way out- one more look at Lake Isabelle:

Bet that is some COLD water. Did you jump in with the dogs?

Lake Norman is at about 85 degrees now.
