I was just reading an article on Unofficial Networks about a ski area in PA with likely the same system. The company making them is called Latitude 90. Looks like a refrigeration system the size of a shipping container.

Found the website. It's a Canadian company.

They have been using a Snow Factory at the Olympic nordic venue up in Lake Placid at Mount Van Hoevenberg for a few years. Need to get some trails ready early for teams that want to get a head start on training. There is a ski resort in Australia that has a couple of Snow Factory machines.

According to the Beech website, the Latitude90 snowmaker is making snow for the tubing lanes. The maker of Beech's snow guns, SMI, is working with Latitude90. There are pictures of Beech on the Latitude90 Facebook page.

One of the resort’s most popular amenities, snow tubing, got a new all-weather snowmaking system. This new technology extends the tubing season and allow the implementation of pre-booking. Latitude 90 is an enclosed snowmaking system that withstands ambient temperatures, winds, and humidity.

I have started to see those snowmakers around the web, have not seen one yet in person or skied on the snow. It is cool that is car actually work at any temp so they use it for events in cities etc too. I suspect it does not have a high energy efficiency rating:)

The Snow Factory from TechnoAlpine has been around since at least 2015. There are 70 ski resorts in the world using them, but very few in the USA. Most are in Europe. One of the ski resorts in Australia got a second one in June for their 2022 season.

There is a short video on this webpage.

Woodward Tahoe tried out Snow Factory back in 2016 for the summer season. Don't know if they are still using one.
