Marzski, this may not help with your dates but as a general PSA

Southwest has posted great fares for mid Dec... I think I'll jump on it, round trip from RDU to DEN for $120

Thanks for the note. My non-stop flight went down $15, but only a few tickets left. I figure the price wouldn't go down more than $20. With other people involved, it was better to commit.

Looks like it's possible to head to SLC from RDU in the first half of Dec for just under $250.

I bought my ticket to ABQ this week. Prices seem a little higher than the last few years.

Looking for suggestions for a motel near at the Denver airport for the night before I fly to RDU. Anyone stay at the Baymont or Quality Inn?

I have stayed out by the airport several times, there are a bunch of options. I like Hampton Inn but I have gotten deals at the Crown Plaza convention center, which sounds pricey but it at least used to particpate with priceline. I do use Priceline Express deals sometimes. Not sure what your car rental situation is but all those hotels pretty much shuttle for free to the airport, just tell them at check in the time you need. Also if you can find a really good deal in Westminster it isnt a bad place to stay for dining and you can just uber it the next norning

Hey, David! Are you going to be in Colorado later in the season? We enjoyed skiing with you last season (even though I felt like crap!). Would love to do it again if we're in the area at the same time.

My wife's sister hooked me up with a friend of hers that winters in Vail and we're going out the week of January 28 through February 4. I got round trip Asheville to Eagle/Vail for $318. That works out to be less than the $128 best fare from ATL to DEN once the transport on each end is added in. I bought a 5-day Epic Day Pass that we'll use at Vail and maybe Beaver Creek.

Give e a shout if you make it to Cataloochee this season.
