Ski Hawksnest would like to thank everyone that participated and volunteered for the "Nest Games" at Hawksnest today (Sunday Jan 29).

The Skier & Boarder Cross, along with the Skier & Boarder Slope-style was very popular, and even with a few rain drops in the morning, it turned to be a sunny day, perfect for going "BIG". Many participants put on a great show for the many spectators and we at Hawksnest would like to say thank you. Also a big thanks to Hawksnest "Ski Patrol" for keepin' it real.

Some of the features in the 2400' long Terrain Park included a "Spine", a "Battleship Rail", "Flat Rail", Boarder Cross "Kicker" choice of "Rainbow" Fun Box, or "C-Fun Box" and finishing up with a "Table Top".

We are already looking forward to, and making plans for the 2nd Annual "Nest Games" next winter.

On hand were Demos from Burton & Atomic. Thanks Guys!

Sponsors include: Atomic, Burton, Black Cat, Farmers Ski Shop, K2, Woodlands, anon, The Jean Pool, Seven Devils Trading Co., Cafe 161, Backwoods Adventures, Quiznos, Farmers Backside, Smith, Line.

Thanks to all the guys at "Pisten Bully" for giving us the hook on our new "Park Bully" its super awesome.

"EXTREME SNOWBOARDING" sponsors our next major event. It will be held on March 3rd. 2006. Come on out and join the fun. February's snow making temperatures look promising. This event should be "HUGE".

If you were a competitor or a spectator @ today's games feel free to post your comments.

Will there be another slopestyle competition on March 3rd? Can you guys judge skiers separately from snowboarders. I would have gone to the comp today, but I read on the website that skiers and snowboarders were judged together.

In the Skier/ Boarder Cross they were judged seperatley, in the Freestyle they were judged together.

well freestyle is where they should be separeted, tricks on skis are a lot different that ones on snowboards, besides a switch take off or landing on skis is really hard.

Our pix have not yet been selected for skinc, yes there was a Boarder Cross Kicker about two and a half Cats wide (50'), and a 30' Table to finish on.
