MASSANUTTEN, Virginia (December 5, 2017) — It’s time again for crisp air, chair lifts, fresh powder and an entire season of fun. Help us celebrate the return of winter with this kick-off to another great season on December 15th, 2017.

LIFTS WILL OPEN AT 9AM.

“We’re looking forward to greeting our guests on the mountain for the first runs of the 2017-2018 season,” said Kenny Hess, Director of Sports Risk & Management at Massanutten Resort. “Our current plan is to open for the season on 12/15/17 for day sessions only (9am-5pm). Night operations for ski and snow tubing are scheduled to begin on Friday, December 22nd.”

In the meantime, we will be taking advantage of any and all opportunities to make snow in order to provide the best conditions possible for top-to-bottom skiing and riding on opening day. Check out our snow conditions page for updates and view our webcams online to see our progress.

General Disclaimer: The snow sports season and winter tubing are both weather dependent. Everything is always subject to change! Updates will be posted on our website and social media pages.
