HERES’ THE SKIER’S FORECAST FOR THE MIDATLANTIC AND SOUTHEAST RESORTS:

The Christmas outlook….. For now it’s looking cool and wet for Christmas Eve night, with a chance of at least some light snow up North for Christmas Day, and a rain snow mix elsewhere. It’s Christmas night and the day after that most everyone could get into the act with some snow all around.

For WISP, TIMBERLINE and CANAAN… Cloudy Skies today with rain likely and highs in the middle and upper 40’s. A leftover morning shower on Saturday with temperatures jumping up into the lower 50’s. Partly Cloudy with low 40’s for Christmas Eve Day. Snow showers on Christmas Monday with highs in the middle 30’s..

At SNOWSHOE… Rain likely to wrap up the week on Friday with highs in the upper 30’s. Winds will be gusty at times out of the southeast 15 to 20 mph. Some lingering morning showers on Saturday with highs in the low and middle 40’s. Christmas Eve will be dry with upper 30’s… and we shift into rain mode again on Christmas Day with showers and upper 30’s switching to light snow Monday night.

WINTERGREEN, VA – A wet Friday with highs in the upper 40’s…. the rain continues tonight with steady temperatures in the upper 40’s. Mainly morning showers on Saturday with highs warming up a bit, back into the upper 50’s. Sunny for Christmas Eve with highs around 50 degrees. Scattered rain showers with temperatures in the low 40’s on Christmas Day.

OBER GATLINBURG, TN – A windy and wet Friday with highs in the upper 50’s. Rain tonight with lows in the upper 40’s. Winds will gust from the south at around 25 mph. A lingering morning shower on Saturday with highs in the middle 50’s. Partly cloudy on Christmas Eve with highs in the low 50’s. Rain showers on Christmas Day with highs in the low 40’s.

HERE’S THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS….

Rain likely today, heavy at times, with highs in the low 50’s. A bit breezy with south winds between 15 to 25 mph. After a lingering morning shower on Saturday, clouds will be on the decrease with highs in the mid 50’s to kick off the Holiday Weekend. A mix of sun & clouds on Christmas Eve with highs around 50 degrees. More rain showers (70%) on Christmas Day with highs around 50 degrees. Rain showers change to light snow Monday night into Tuesday when temperatures only make it into the middle 30’s.
